RK
Our office is using oditech.com to host our FM Db file. All workstations in our office are Mac OS X 10.6. Recently, one of our workstations is unable to access the file hosted on ODI through the 'Open Remote' command. Every other workstation can log in as usual, no problems. Checking the workstation console log, no changes have been effected that would cause this problem. Any idea what's up? Thanks in advance for the help. Carl Horton
First, ping the host to see if the computer can see the server. If you can ping the host, use a port scanner to scan the host to make sure the port is open. Port 5003 and 2399 are the ports you are looking for. It's also possible that there is a firewall or rule in place on your router that is preventing the computer from connecting to the host.
Steven H. Blackwell
5003 is the port you need. 2399 is for ODBC access. You may not need it. Steven
John May - Point In Space
Make sure you've run all the updates on the FileMaker Pro client in question - in particular, the SSH update. - John
