I'm hitting a Mac running FMPro5. I'm hitting the data from Crystal Reports and MSSQL without a hitch.

The problem is the ODBC connection kicks off the summary fields in the FMPro. The dialog box comes up and it recalculates all the summary fields for every record! One database, with 9000+ records and 10 summary fields, will spend hours downloading data and winds up crashing FM before the data can be transfered. Has anyone else experienced this??

Another database with no summary fields and 43,000 records download in minutes!!

I'm going to create a script that will create a new database and just copy the NON-summary fields into it.... That's a pretty clucky solution.
