Import from LDAP to Filemakerpro

Dear all,

I am new to this and busy for a school project.

Recently i started my last internship by a company, i have to do an assessment to pass my last year of school. The assessment is depending on the project i am working for.

The company wants a filemakerpro application that gets user information (and rights/groups) that stores into the Filemaker Database.

I already made an database for what properties i want, made tables for users, groups, citrixrights and normal rights. Another table to save the current and an history table what the user had before there where changes. I already know which query's i have to use.

But my only problem for now, because i am a completely new to Filemaker is how to import from the Active Directory.

I know you can accomplish this with the commandline Dsquery and Dsget, or use VBscript.

Also i saw an plugin, SCODIGO's SmartPill, already have plugin installed (trail version).

What is for me the easiest way to start with scripting. Someone told me here (that knows more as me) i can implement VBscripts in filemaker?

Can someone kick me in the good direction where to start. I don't need ready to copy paste answers. (I want to learn to play with Filemaker Pro.)

Thanks in advance :P
