Sounds like you may have a corrupted file ... Try recovering the file and see what happens..You may also want to save the recovered file as a clone and then import the old records as well.. If after recovering the file your system still crashes try uninstalling and then reinstalling FMPro... Of course you could more switch over to a PC superior platform smile.gif

What version of FMP are you using?

Pop over to http://www.filemaker.com/ and check that you have the latest patch: 3.0v6, 4.0v3 or 4.1v3. These "patch" updates are free.

Otherwise (or additionally) make sure your iMac has all the appropriate system and firmware updates. This link will take you directly to the iMac stuff:
