hi, i was looking over the internet to find more information about the installation of filemaker server 11. i noticed there is an option in the installation where you can tell that you want to use 1 server as database + publishing server and another server as webserver.

My question is, if anyone knows if its possible to use a linux webserver (that is allready using php5) as webserver for the web publishing tool.

plz let me know.

From all I can tell there is no way of doing this that is officially supported by Filemaker. There are hacks for it using various itreations of Linux server, but they all seem to have bugs. This is from the FM Server 11 Advanced getting started guide:

System requirements for FileMaker Server

This section provides the minimum and recommended requirements for running FileMaker Server on the following systems:

1Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server version 10.5.8 and 10.6.1 (Intel-based computers only)

1Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2

1Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP2

1Windows Server 2008 R2

1Windows 7 Professional Edition
