I've dealt with this for a while and finally think it's time to see if I can get some help....

When I close out FMP and then go to reopen a file nothing happens.

Upon checking I see the the process is still running in the background. If I use the task manager to close the process and then click to open the file it opens fine.

I can't say it happens 'all the time' because I haven't paid that close of attention to it and don't restart it very often - typically it stays up and running.

Any ideas?::P???

Side note: I've upgraded FMP several times/versions over the years...

Some plug-ins cause FMP to take a while to quit fully. Are you using many plug-ins?

Yes... about 4-5 I guess.

Is there any way to see if it has closed without looking in the Task Manager?

So if I just wait longer it should open... I'll try that next time.
