JGlavic Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I recently upgraded my computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I must now re-deploy SuperContainer, which I had been using quite successfully. I downloaded the latest version of SuperContainer (2.77), moved the files to an unzipped file, and clicked on "SuperContainerServer.jar". I get the following error message: "Cannot run SuperContainer Server: java.lang.runtimeexception: logging directory is not writeable, please verify that the Files folder is in a folder SuperContainer can write to." I'm not quite sure what this means. Any thoughts?
Smef Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Are you logged on as an administrator on your computer? This error is due to not having permission to write to the C:UsersSuperContainer directory.
JGlavic Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 I am logged on as an administrator. :
Smef Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Check and make sure that you do not have any antivirus software running which might be blocking SuperContainer from writing to that directory or creating or modifying files on your computer. If you do not have any antivirus software running please contact me through Skype, AIM, or by phone and we can do screensharing to take a look at what is going on.
