Jalz Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Hi Guys, We've got FileMaker Server advanced 11 and FileMaker Pro 11 clients. Im testing out sending emails via smtp, am I right in thinking that smtp emails dont go via FM server, they connect directly to Exhange in our case and email out? If thats the case, is there any way I can send them to our FileMaker Server 11 and then get FM Server to send the email out? The reason I ask is our IT technician whose microsoft chap thinks its going to be a security problem enabling exchange to accept emails from programs on our network - he doesnt trust other programs not sending emails out, he has a connector for the FileMaker Server and would prefer FileMaker Server to send out the emails to exchange.
