Newbies matthewdg Posted November 2, 2000 Newbies Share Posted November 2, 2000 I just switched from the Mac version to the NT 4 version which runs as a service. The PDF manual that came on the CD is corrupted and I know nothing about services. So how do I tell FMServer to open files and share them with the rest of the network? And I can't find the manual anywhere on the web, does anyone out there have a copy they could email me? Thanks everyone. matthew g.
Vaughan
Take a look at the FileMaker TechInfo database Article #103863: Databases Not Opening Automatically when FileMaker Pro Server is Launched. I think this refers to the Macintosh version but it may still be of use. The TechInfo database is at http://www.filemaker.com/support/techinfo.html
Newbies matthewdg Posted November 3, 2000 Author Newbies Share Posted November 3, 2000 Thank you for the reply, but my databases are in the same folder as the app. Is there some kind of a switch that I can start it with that tells it to open everything. And I'm beginning to wonder if a manual exists anywhere for this thing. matthew g.
