December 20, 201015 yr Upgrading a client to a new computer. MacMini Intel Mac OS 10.6.5 FMS 11 SuperContainer 2.77 Moved files from old system, everything works fine except SuperContainer shows coffee cups. Is the sc_applet.jar supposed to load when SuperContainer starts? When I double-click on sc_applet.jar app I get the dialog error: The Java JAR file "sc_applet.jar" could not be launched. Check the Console for Possible error messages. Console displays: Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from /Applications/SuperContainer-2_77/SuperContainer/sc_applet.jar I go into my SuperContainer settings and check "noapplet" and the coffee cup goes away and I have sort of what I want. -Jeff
December 21, 201015 yr You need to install or run SuperContainer on only one machine, and then all other users connect to that, similar to how you install filemaker server on only one machine. If you are getting coffee cups when the applet is trying to load in a web viewer then it means that it is waiting for you to accept the security dialog. Make sure you have not clicked "deny" instead of "allow" in the security dialog box. There are no jar files for you to run on any of your client machines, and only SuperContainerServer.jar or Installer.jar should be run on your server to install or launch SuperContainer Server (only one of the two).
December 21, 201015 yr Author Actually what it turned out to be was my Safari app had some custom preferences that interfered. Was able to correct with the fantastic help of David Nahodyl from 360Works. Who would have guessed the Safari settings would cause a problem.
