Graphics in Containers Look Bad in Windows 7

Featured Replies

PNG graphics placed into container fields and resized down look poor (not smooth). These same graphics have looked good in a solution I produced two years ago and have used in Mac OS, Win XP, and Win Vista. Now, in Windows 7, they look poor. The edges are not smooth and they appear pixelated. Has anyone else seen this issue? This problem occurs in both FileMaker 10.x and 11.x. I've tried the database both locally and opened from a server. I've tried loading gifs in instead of PNGs. Still bad. It appears to be an issue with how FileMaker "smoothly" scales these graphics within the operating system?

I'm hoping somebody out there has an answer or at least knows whether this is a known bug. Thanks.
