I am using SuperConatainer stand alone. I recently upgrade from FM Pro 11 to FM server 11 to host our applications. In order to facilitate local and remote desktop users I user the get(hostIPaddress) to determine what IP address to use to get to superconatiner. Perhaps after switching to Server my code does not seem to pick up the hostIP address anymore. If I set a variable to (get(hostIPaddress) it does not show in the data viewer. Typing in the approrpriate address in a brower either remotely or locally brings up SuperContainer.

get(hostIPaddress) will show up blank if you are opening a file directly and not connecting to a database on filemaker server. Make sure you are opening your file through Open Remote and not accessing the file on your own computer or through mounting a remote drive.

Multiple people accessing a single file or accessing a file hosted by filemaker server directly rather than through open remote can cause corruption, so it is very important that you ONLY open the file through the Open Remote dialog.
