hi!

i hope everyone is doing well!

i have a (probably stupid) problem -- i cant figure out how to create a clone. when i go to file > save as, 'save as' is greyed out (please see attached screen shot (.jpg)). i have tried from within each view (browse, find, layout, print), and ive tried from different layouts, but to no avail.

i searched 'clone' in the help menu within filemaker but the search didnt yield anything helpful. similarly, when i search google re: this topic, i keep getting instructions to clone via 'file > save as' but nothing about what to do when that isnt an option.

what am i doing wrong?

Is the file shared with FM Server or FMP peer-to-peer? The save a copy as command is unavailable for shared files.

yes, it is shared on fm server! can i take it off, clone it, and put it back up? would that result in any instability or weirdness or data loss?
