March 3, 201114 yr We have a small solution where we have several people in the field (without internet access) and they transmit their reports when they return back home. I am trying to update their information at night (changes in scope of work, etc) from a central source. We have a website hosted with our ISP and have ample space, but I do not think we could install FM Server there (it would also probably be an overkill for now). So if i have a .fp7 file sitting on that webserver, can I connect to it via 'manage external data sources' or is my only option to FTP the entire file down and then run an import routine locally? I know i could probably achieve this with an ODBC connection to a MySql db, which is offered by our ISP, but I am looking for something 'quick and dirty', since we are looking into a completely new system for next year and I just need to patch what we have for now. thanks
