I have figured out how to find the records that I want to merge. I do not want to do the merge from FM to Word. I want to do this just the opposite and retreive this data from within a Word doc. Word can't seem to read the FM data.Heeeeeeeeeelp!!!!

I've heard of people going the FMP-Excel-Word route, since Excel talks both FMP and Word.

To merge with Windows you need to install the Filemaker ODBC driver you can find on the developer cd, then you have to make a query to merge.

On Macintosh you can use the Word Mail Merge which offers a possibility to open a Filemaker database.
