display an image over a container until it has content

Featured Replies

Hello

As I am very new to Fm coming from Access and I hope I am asking my question in the correct area.

Within my database I have included a tab which holds 12 container fields each of these fields (Container) is covered by a Jpg image of a filing cabinet draw-front,

What I am trying to achieve is if the draw in empty then the image is displayed in front of the container and when the container field has content it moves or shows in front of the image. Then I can replicate this across the 12 draws.

Any help you be appreciated.

Regards.

Ozzie Bruce

That is really simple...

Suppose that the default image has this path:

imagewin:/C:/Documents and Settings/Master/Desktop/logo_aci.jpg

Now all you need to do is set the auto-enter option*** of the container field to be calculated with this calc:

Self & ¶ & "imagewin:/C:/Documents and Settings/Master/Desktop/logo_aci.jpg"

If the container will be cleared, it will display the default image.

***Remember to clear the box: Do not replace existing value for field ( if any )
