Creating PDF output

Featured Replies

I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of days now, and I am now confused and not sure what to do....

I want to save my output to a PDF instead of to the printer. I can do it manually when I get the Print dialog box and check off all the settings (Destination:To File, Save as:Acrobat PDF, etc.)

I'm thinking that I would have to use Applescript to hard code these settings....the questions is how do I do that. I've been looking for a sample in Applescript, and have been unsuccessful thus far.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.....Kim crazy.gif" border="0

Get a copy of PDFWriter [shareware]. That will allow you to have a printer option that will create a .pdf file of your output

Since the PDF writer looks just like a printer to your computer, see my post in the FAQ forum on switching printers.

I've got similar situation related to PDF file creation.

I've got no problems saving files as a PDF, but does anyone know of a way to set the PDF file to a calculated value? I'd like to be able to run off a years worth of outlines (350+ files) and have filemaker just do the whole thing in a script.
