May 1, 200124 yr I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of days now, and I am now confused and not sure what to do.... I want to save my output to a PDF instead of to the printer. I can do it manually when I get the Print dialog box and check off all the settings (Destination:To File, Save as:Acrobat PDF, etc.) I'm thinking that I would have to use Applescript to hard code these settings....the questions is how do I do that. I've been looking for a sample in Applescript, and have been unsuccessful thus far. Any help would greatly be appreciated.....Kim
May 1, 200124 yr Get a copy of PDFWriter [shareware]. That will allow you to have a printer option that will create a .pdf file of your output
May 2, 200124 yr Since the PDF writer looks just like a printer to your computer, see my post in the FAQ forum on switching printers.
May 5, 200124 yr Newbies I've got similar situation related to PDF file creation. I've got no problems saving files as a PDF, but does anyone know of a way to set the PDF file to a calculated value? I'd like to be able to run off a years worth of outlines (350+ files) and have filemaker just do the whole thing in a script.
