Active record not in preview mode

Hi,

I have tried to create a "print" script that takes my colleagues from a "contacts" file to the preview of a letter layout. I have created this layout in the "contacts" file.

The problem is, when I get from browse mode to preview mode, Filemaker displays the first record in the "contacts" file. If I choose "print", the active record is printed. This is very confusing.

I would like to know if it is possible to create a script to omit all records but the active one, when the user is taken from layout #1 to the letter layout, in order to see the record that i want to have printed in preview mode. I know I could omit all records by using another file and copy and paste functions, but this seems rather complicated to accomplish something simple.
