Can't format a timestamp field using periods as separators

Featured Replies

Greets:

The title says it all--I've tried using the Inspector and going to Data > Data Formatting > Format > 12.25.2003 as well as setting up the same formatting style in Custom in the same drop-down menu. The formatting choice works fine in Date fields, but apparently not in timestamp fields...or am I missing something?

I'd hate to go the long way using a calc in a text field [Month( date ) & "." & ...] :(

TIA for your replies!

Fixed the problem: just trashed the field from the layout and replaced it with a new one; it works fine, now. Strange.
