bbaliner
Dear all, This forum seems closest to answer my question, I was not able to find the exact forum for index output question. How can I either copy and paste, or print out the contents of the whole index. For instance, to find out what kind of data is in the field i would press Cnrl+I while my cursor is in the field, and the Index dialog box comes up. How do I print it out? Thanx a bunch for your help.
Rumble Seat
This is a bit clumsy, but works, depending on how many unique entries are in your field... Create a new layout, and display the field as either checkbox or radio button value list, defined to show all values in that field. Then expand the field on the layout so it shows all the values (you can set the line width to none, or the color to white to get rid of the boxes/buttons) Not elegant, but it works. bbaliner
Thanks Rumble, Now I can indeed see all values. But how can I copy them to clipboard (my usual highlighting the field contents doesn't work here) Thanks again for your prompt answer.

Vaughan
If the value list is based on a field, create a summary report of the field and print that.
Steven H. Blackwell
Set up a value list for the field whose index you want to use. Call it, oh say, "MyValues". Create a global text filed called "g_info". Use a ScriptMaker
