Is there any way in FM 4.x to make the text formatting defined in Layout mode "stick: when pasting data into fields in Browse mode?

I'm cutting and pasting contact data from emails received in Eudora into an FM database. Unfortunately, this text contains formatting (font, style, size, etc.) which persists when I paste from the clipboard into fields in my FM database. Is there any way to cause the formatting defined in FM to override whatever comes in from the clipboard?

When you paste formatted text, its formatting overrides the default format of the field. One option is to make a calculated field equal to the field in which you paste the text. Format the calculated field how you want, and that's what you will get since the format will not transfer in a calculation.

You can also script this with a paste command, just check the option, paste without style.
