Read barcode on PDF or JPEG

Hi All!

I'm looking for a way to read a barcode in a PDF file or other image file. I have the ability to scan documents into FileMaker via a plug-in. What I want to be able to do, after the document is scanned, is to read a barcode that is on that document into a text field.

Any ideas?

You should be able to use the zxing library for this with 360Works' Scriptmaster plugin. http://code.google.com/p/zxing/
