Has anyone ever seen or implemented anything that allows Filemaker (or Java running within it) to listen for mouse events to allow the user to indicate dynamically at runtime which portion of the screen should be captured?

I've used 360 works to write a simple java(groovy) external function that uses java.awt.mouseinfo to return to filemaker my mouse coordinates..
