Error when saving files via WebDav

Featured Replies

I have come across a rather unusual and specific error. When I mount the DocuBin share via "Connect to Server" I can open files in the local applications without a problem. I can make changes to RTF, PDF, and PNG files and save them back to DocuBin without incident. DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files however have a problem. It seems to be that the MS applications don't like saving over the WebDav. The first error that I get is referencing a path error. Then it comes up with the save dialog which seems to have forgotten the filename that I tried to save it as as it comes up with ".docx.." every time. I've included screenshots of both windows.

Thoughts?

Kevin,

There is an issue with saving files with Office 2011, and we hope to have a fix soon. I'll let you know when it's ready!

There is a bug where Microsoft Word 2011 cannot save to mounted WebDAV volumes that begin with "file". Connecting to http://{host}/DocuBin/webdav solves the issue.
