Writing AND using Plug-in, But How

I am new in this forum, amd new in Filemaker Developing so this question may be very easy to yours.

I want to learn how to write plugins and also how to use it. So i try to learn by reading FileMaker Developers Guide. Book says there is some examples in FMPDevoloper Folder but there no fmx file wich is sayed in Dev.Guide Book.

Is somebody help me about this sub.

Well, first you need to already know how to program in C or C++. There is no information on this part in the FMD product.

The location/names of the example files have changed between versions, but for FMD 5.0, I believe the "External FileMaker APIs" folder was installed with the installer. In FMD 4.x and FMD 5.5 the folder is on the CD and is not installed onto your harddrive.

If you have an FMD product before 5.5, just do a search for folders named "Full Example" and "Template". In FMD 5.5 look for "FMExample" on the CD.

There are a few other things, that are mentioned in previous threads in this forum, so look at old posts.
