Newbies alanpowell Posted December 13, 2001 Newbies Share Posted December 13, 2001 new to fm. database made on mac...to be accessed on pcs. <200 files, each with a thumbnail image. 1. how do i control the size of the image container? so that a 400/450 pixel pict compressed in image ready down to ~30k appears with no border? i must be missing something right in front of me. 2. do i need to worry about the pc's ability to handle file names? Vaughan Posted December 13, 2001 Share Posted December 13, 2001 The appearance of the image is controlled by the field on each layout. Fields cannot expand/contract in FMP -- the best you can do is set the fields's Graphic format to eith crop the image, or reduce/expand to fit the field area. If you set it to crop, make the field larger than the image size, remove the field border and make the field fill colour the same as the backround you might be able to make it look like you want.
