Hello. I use Filemaker 5.5 on a Windows 98 system. I have a database with container fields thats contain wav files. If execute the database from cd, the sounds not work. If execute de database from protectec dopy diskkette, the sounds not work. If execute de database from hard disk, the sounds works ok.

Where are the sound files themselves located, on the CD or on the ahrd drive? This might be a read write issue, and knowing where the files are will help diagnose this.

I suspect there is something that needs to be written during this process, and you basically can not write to the CD, a locked medium. When the files are copied to the drive, they work.
