Newbies FreeNapster Posted March 10, 2001 Newbies Posted March 10, 2001 When I create a FMP solution I like to add sound to the opening menu to play at start up - gives it a professional touch. However, if all records are deleted I lose the sound file. Is there a way around this?
StevenB Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 Do you use a defaults file. This kind of file would hold all the common graphics, sounds, names, etc... Try moving the common information to a file like this. Steven B
Vaughan Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 In the script that plays the sound at startup, get it to check the current record count: if it is zero, create a new record, play the sound, then delete the record you just made. If the records have a serialised auto-entry field, this will create a lot of misiing numbers.
