Running FMP 3.0 on a MAc 8500, OS 8.5. Accidentally erased an FM file, Norton UnErase lists it as 100% recoverable but after doing so FM won

There's a good change that trashing the file originally or during the recovery process that some part of the file got damaged. Open FileMaker and try the Recovery feature under the File Menu.
