Newbies mdrandall Posted December 3, 2001 Newbies Share Posted December 3, 2001 Similar to a previous forum posting, I have OS 9.2.1 and FM 5.5. The installer works fine but when I attempt to run FM I get either an Apple Type 1 (bus error) or a Type 2 (address error) after the splash screen is displayed and the fonts preferneces built and apple talk connected etc. I have tried removing all refernces to FM including the FM Pro Fonts file and re-installing but get the sam eerror. In desperation, I re-installed our earlier version of FM 3.0 but this gave the sam error. I have tried booting the system with all extensions off etc but still no joy. It has been suggested that these errors may be caused by fonts....anyone have any good ideas what to look for. I have checked with ATM and there are a few corrupt/missing fonts but nothing significant....thanks [ December 03, 2001: Message edited by: mdrandall ]
Steven H. Blackwell
Well, ANY corrupted font can cause a problem. But that may not be what is happening here. What type hardware are you using on this setup? Try booting up with only the base externsion set and see what happens. Old Advance Man
