My Mac bombed and whwn I open my filemaker 3.0 I get following message

The accessprivilegies to this file have been damages or tampered with.copnsult Claris technical support ....

I have lost database with 2500 books

Why don't you try to use the "Recover..." command with that File (That command is in the File menu).

Just trash the file and work from a backup. You did regularly backup a database with 2500 books, didn't you?
