TDebb8594 Posted August 30, 2000 Posted August 30, 2000 My associate and I are connected (intranet?) via apple talk. If I have my filemaker files open and she tries to open her files she gets an error message stating that her copy of filemaker is already in use. If I close my files and quit out of filemaker, she has no problem. this happens without us being physically connected to each other's machines. Does anyone know why this happens?
beltro Posted August 30, 2000 Posted August 30, 2000 FM has network copy protection. It checks your network for other copies of Fm. When it finds another copy, it checks the install code. If it matches it gives you the ever popular "Max number of Lic users". Buying another copy of FM or not running them at the same time is the only way to avoid the message. Beltro
