I know nothing about FM but I recently saw a product that used it as a framework. I want to create something similar to what I saw. I'm looking for a true FM ninja. A guy who knows everything there is to know about the product. I want the guy/girl who can say with confidence, "There is nothing I cannot do in FM".

For a project of moderate complexity expect to pay about $10,000 to $20,000 to get something working, and about that again to get it market-ready with trial versions, demo data, training and marketing material.

You really want to get one foundation client to do your product development on for the first version, then basically trash that and start a new v2 to go to market with. They will also do your references and testimonials.

It takes at least one version to work out what the client wants, and what needs to be done to meet the client needs, and with a commercial product you want a nice clean system to give to other clients to make support easier.
