AndrewBruno
I have a major problem with some of my files 'jamming' after data is entered or simple scripts are run. I get the hourglass for anything up to 20 seconds. Everything in the system works, but with these delays on a couple of the files (out of 17). I think it may be down to the kak virus that I thought I had got rid of. The same problem exists with the same files when transfered (via Zip disc) to other machines. Any help greatly appreciated. Steven H. Blackwell
When posting questions of this type, it is EXTREMELY helpful to include the version of FIleMAker Pro, specific to the v-rev, and the OS version as well. This allows us to rule in/rule out certain issues. I'd say--off hand--you have a damaged file. Export all its data, then reimport that data into a clean clone of the file. Substitute the new file for the old one, and see if that helps. HTH Old Advance Man
Vaughan
FMP version and OS information aren't "helpful" -- they are *necessary* for people to be able to post meaningful answers.
AndrewBruno
Thanks again, Vaughan, from a novice but increasingly enthusiastic FM developer. We are running FM 5.5 standard on Windows 95 and 98 (98 in the office and 95 at home) Andrew Bruno
