Newbies mcarter Posted February 23, 2001 Newbies Share Posted February 23, 2001 Ok, here's my scenerio: 2 store locations, each have a DSL connection. If I share a FM database at one store (with security turned on obviously) can the second store access the database through the Internet? Not via a web browser, but via sharing a Filemaker file. Thanks mcarter
dspires
Sure. Set the db to be shared at multi-user and the protocol as TCP/IP. Open the database from the second machine using FMP and the IP of the first (protocol of the second must be TCP/IP too).
