Random Connection Through Gateway/Router

I am having problems connecting to a filemaker server from outside the network. I have the router set up so that port 5003 is open for tcp/ip.

I have gotten it to connect a few times, but it is random.. and most of the time it just brings up an empty record set list.

what could possibly be the problem.

please help: ]
