Connecting FMP 5.5 and 5.0 on LAN

Hello,

My brother's company runs an FMP 5.5 database on Windows XP(Home). The client systems are Windows ME, and Win 98SE, running FMP 5.0. The client systems cannot see the DB on the host. I was going in to check the XP firewall settings. Will the FMP 5.0 talk to the FMP 5.5 across a network?

FMP 5 will talk to 5.5.

XP seems to be causing some problems with viewing the databases on a host.

Try changing the Network protocols in application preferences.
