Newbies Eric Palhof Posted May 23, 2000 Newbies Posted May 23, 2000 I am setting up a contact system that is based on the 4.0 Integrated templates (converted to 5.0). I have set up our network using TCP/IP and cross-platformed the solution using a G3 server. I'm using WinFax & FaxLink for the Windows based machines and in the process of setting it up. Is there any thing I need to watch out for? I am able to dial up the URLs with built in modems on the PCs but found I can not get a connection via our network to the browser, yet, I'm able to get it to work on the MACs. I also am unable to send an email from the MACs but able to from the PCs. I'm wondering if using an email plugin is the way to go for the MACs? If I use a plug-in for Windows, can it operate from the G3 Server? I noticed when I dial the email on the PCs it uses the built in Windows New Message but I want to send from the Activities file in FileMaker. I'd appreciate any advice here. I am very skilled in scripting and Filemaker development but communications is a new area when dealing with a cross-platformed network environment.
