tmanning Posted June 11, 2000 Posted June 11, 2000 I know there is a way to assign myself a "permanent IP address" in windows 95 so that I do not have to be logged onto the internet to publish my FMP files (to myself) for testing. I just can't find the instructions anywhere. Does anyone know how to do this?
jlm Posted February 7, 2001 Posted February 7, 2001 You don't really need a fixed address, just type "localhost" in your browser. Otherwise, right click on "network neighbourhood", then open TCPI/P. Then type a fixed address. Don't use it will connected to the web or you may have problems, for example with mails. To check for address used, go to DOS, type "ipconfig" and read... JLM
