I am currently running FMPro5 Server Mac. on OS9 (Server). 3 Local Terminals (Mac OS 8.6) 1 Local Terminal (W98.

We Have 2 Clients which connect to D.Bases Via Remote access (Mac).

My Problem is that From home I am running W98 and running FMPro 5 (W98) and I cannot log on to the host. I am using PCMaclan 7.2 and I can see shared files on Mac server but when I try to access databases I get nothing. I am able to log on to server using dial-up with server IP Address set at 192.168.0.1 (SNM)255.255.255.0.. All terminals are set sequentially with the exception of Mac Client used to check e-mail, which is connecting via Apple talk. When I attemt to access host from home (W98) I show not files. We recently upgraded from fmpro 4 and some databases still do not have the .FP5 extention (Could this be the problem. Any suggestions

I ain't got a Win98 machine at home, and I don't know what PCMacLan is, but this should work so try it:

1) Dial into the Internet.

2) Open FileMaker Pro

3) Choose Open from File menu

4) click on Hosts button

5) type in the IP number of the FMP server

6) select the file fom the list

You should be a gest of your database now.
