Newbies mtoth14 Posted August 25, 2000 Newbies Posted August 25, 2000 I'm running FileMaker Pro 4.1 on an iMac (OS9) configured with Open Transport PPP to create a dialup connection and then attempt to contact our FMP Server 3.0 via TCP/IP. This used to work on the old machine running ConfigPPP, but now it's crashing with OT PPP - the entire program quits unexpectedly with a Type 11, 2 or 3 error. OT is the most up-to-date version, as is OT PPP and I ran FMP Updater to 4.1v3 and that didn't help. It's not a PPP error, eveything else works. I've tried reinstalling FMP and that doesn't work either. Halp! Is this an OS9 compatability issue? I doubt it's an extension confilct because it's pared down to the fewest possible extensions.
Vaughan Posted September 15, 2000 Posted September 15, 2000 Try opening the dialup conenction first, then launching FMP.
Newbies mtoth14 Posted September 26, 2000 Author Newbies Posted September 26, 2000 I tried that several times. Still the same odd sequences of error codes. I restarted the machine, then dialed up, then started FMP. Same thing. Argh! What to do?
