I am a bit new here, and with filemaker also. I have a question that is probably easy but I have not been able to come across a solution. I have a database that I have implemented on the IPad and have several fields that are set to be filled with a drop menu. But several of them are optional to the user. They work as expected on the desktop but on the IPad they pop up regardless of desire when entering the layout. Is there any way to keep them quiet except when poked? Thanks for any help, its appreciated.

Perhaps you could just reset your tab order.

Thanks, I have used the tab order a lot but didn't really see this as fix. However after you made mention of it I figured I better take another look so last night when I had some time I decided look again a little closer with the intent of at least moving the fields I don't want poping up to the end of the order but then I noticed that I could just remove them from the tab order all together and Whaa laa !!! all better so thanks for the poke in the right direction.
