Using server v12 on same pc as fm pro 12 to develop sep model

Wondering about experiences developing with server running on same pc as fm pro when developing. Filmaker help says server not designed for this, but it seems to work fine for me. Doing a seperation model with ui in fm pro and four files running on server. Get share warning at ui startup but all works fine.

Any one have opinion pro or con of this setup for developing only, not for final end use.

If this is not optimum what are your suggestions for sep model development. I started with fmpro adv 12 with ui file and four shared files. Then after putting on server had to re - reference 50 tos in the ui. Cant find a best practices doc from filemaker on the development process for multiuser. Moving large app from 4 d into filemaker, so new to development setup . Finding fm easy to learn language, but un sure of above.
