Parsing a checkbox'd value list into a list

Howdy, all:

 

I know I've seen a simple script somewhere that parses a checkbox'd value list and through a looping function, is able to create a summarized list based on the parent value list choice related children values, but I just can't find it here and online. (After two hours of searching my eyes feel like hamburger.)

 

Attached is a screenshot I threw together: the checkbox'd fieldname is "Class" and its (children) values (fieldname "Value") are in the portal to its right. So, in this example, a user has selected three values (shown also in the box in the middle of the layout for clarity's sake):

 

Duration

Relationship

Diplomat Type

 

...with Diploma Type's values appearing in the portal. So, what I'd like is a list that appears like in the other screenshot I've attached. (The list in that screenshot was an easy sub-summary report using all the values; I want the user to be able to select specific value lists to save paper and unnecessary clutter.)
