Excel To FMP Field Conversion

I need to add 450 fields into a new FMP file. I set up a Excel spreadsheet

but it won't let me transpose that many rows. It doesn't have enough Columns.

Why doesn't FMP. Allow first column as field names?

Are you wanting to add 450 fields or 450 records? Your excel file should be set up with each record in a row, with each cell being a field.
