Scribe doesn´t copy ñ, á, é... from RTF documents.

Hi.

I am using Scribe with FileMaker Pro Advanced 12.0.3 under MacOS X 10.7.4 to copy the text from a RTF file to a text field (ScribeFileAsText).

It works with documents I have created in my computer. Now I have to convert 1000 RTF files that come from a customer.

When I import them, typical Spanish characters are not recognize (ñ, á, é, í, ó, ú...). I get a "".

But, if I open the RTF document, change something and save it, everything works fine. Why?

Any idea of what can I do to solve this problem? Obviously, I cannot suggest my customer to open all the files and save them again.

Thank you.

Javier
