Constant IMAP Timeout on Connect

Hello all,

 

Newbie to using Filemaker and 360Works. My company is evaluating the plugin to see if it works for simple e-mail reading and saving, but we are having trouble with accessing a Gmail account using the EmailConnectIMAP call. 

 

I copied the implementation from the 360Works example file, and modified it only slightly to change the names of the layouts that display e-mail and allow for input of server settings, but no matter what we try, the plugin will not connect to the Gmail IMAP servers. It gives a response of a Time Out whenever we try to connect. 

 

Is there something that I may be missing? Does this function require you to purchase the product first, or is there something that I have neglected to do before trying to connect to the IMAP server?
