Creating a simple find count

Featured Replies

Try checking "unstored" under storage options in the field definitions dialog.

...and keep in mind that Status(CurrentRecordNumber) may return a different result for a given record whenever you perform a find and/or sort.

ok i have been trying to create a field that will show the count of a bunch of records once you do a find. i have been using "status(currentfound count)" in a field that is a creation. the problem is it only shows the count after one find. if you do another find that old info will still be there. also i am using the "status(currentrecord)" to show the current record, but it will not show the proper numbers in relation to the found set of records. i looked at the filemaker help and it says that it will show the info from a found count.

any ideas?

thanx it worked great.
