Any wisdom out there as to what I should or can do?

Preferences are stored on individual machines. Run the Allow Toolbars ScriptMaker step to turn it off.

Hi Old Man. Thank you for all your great help. I can't find the Allow Toolbars script step in my version of Filemaker - 5.0. Is it in 5.5?

Yes. Allow Toolbars() is a new feature in 5.5, so you won't find it in 5. If you want to manually turn on/off on a client machine, choose View...Toolbars from menu.
