I am importing a folder of images into a table via the FM file>import records>folder dropdown. The import is successful and I can see the images on the host computer, but when I go to another client computer I have a "file not found" message.

I put a calculation field on the table and it is returning:

image:/Macintosh HD/Applications/FileMaker Pro 11/Web/images/10-163_002.JPG

The images are visible on the host, on the IWP, but not on the client computers.

And the same is true in reverse, if I upload the images from a shared folder on the server from a client computer the images are only viewable on the client computer and not on the host.

I am sure that it is some sort of path issue, but I am stumped.

peer to peer shared database.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

The pictures can't be seen since "Macintosh HD" is local to the (peer2peer) server and the client presumably has not the servers "Macintosh HD" mounted.

That is the central problem with import by reference. The imported documents Must be located on a file server all clients can access.

That is what I was afraid of. So if we imported the images from some kind of NAS device connected to the router that should work. Right?

Thanks!
